Cell-cell interactions are of critical importance for the development and maintenance of multicellular organisms. While the biochemical players for these interactions are often known, the dynamics of how many of these molecules function in their natural environment has been technically difficult to approach. We are addressing these problems, primarily in immune T lymphocytes by applying real-time imaging approaches. Our projects are aimed to understand the spatial and temporal dynamics of cellular activation programs, in their native contexts.
